Chris Baxter has lived in Harrow all his life and was honoured to be elected for Pinner South in May 2026. He previously represented North Harrow from 2022 to 2026, and before that he served as Headstone North's councillor from 2018 to 2022.

Since May 2026, Cllr Baxter has served as Cabinet Member responsible for Housing. In this role he oversees the council's housing stock as well as working to deliver more social rent and affordable housing. 
 
Chris has served as Chairman of Harrow West Conservative Association o two occasions – working across Harrow on behalf of Local Government, London Assembly and Parliamentary candidates.
 
In spring 2019, he was appointed Chief Whip of Harrow Council Conservatives group. He has previously served as the Cabinet Assistant for Strategy, supporting the Leader of the Council as well as being vice-chair of the Planning Committee.

Harrow Council’s November Cabinet meeting saw yet more complaints about the Labour administration’s Street Space schemes. 7 questions from members of the public, as well as a petition, were discussed during the meeting showing the distress and anger the Council’s roadblocks have caused.
