Rayners Lane Ward Councillor

Thaya Idaikkadar was elected as Councillor for Rayners Lane ward in the 2022 Harrow Council elections.

He has lived in Harrow for over 30 years and is married with 2 children who were educated in Harrow and are now NHS Doctors. He has his own accountancy business in Harrow and his wife was a former worker at North Harrow station.

Thaya is a keen gardener, in particular growing exotic plants, he also enjoys cricket and walking.

Thaya was previously a councillor, portfolio holder and leader of the council which means he brings with him a wealth of experience which would benefit the council. He contributes his knowledge and experience to the Council through his role as a Non-Executive Member of Cabinet.

Harrow’s Conservative Council is implementing a Red Route along Rayners Lane to stop illegal double parking and impose new measures to clamp down on moped in car parking bays.The Red Route restrictions will apply to the roads which make up Rayners Lane town centre.
