Ameet Jogia

Ameet was born in Harrow and has lived there all his life. Ameet studied at St Dominic’s College on Harrow-on-the-Hill, and graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Geography.

Ameet Jogia was elected as Councillor for Canons Ward in May 2014, getting the highest number of votes compared to any other candidate in the entire borough. Ameet is currently the youngest Councillor in Harrow.

He currently serves as a Non-Executive Member of Cabinet.

In May 2015, Ameet was promoted to the Shadow Cabinet in Harrow, becoming the Cabinet Member for Culture and Community. Ameet is also part Harrow’s Traffic and Road Safety Panel, which oversees parking restrictions and road safety schemes around the borough.

Ameet currently works in Westminster as a Political Aide. Prior to that Ameet worked for Network Rail as a Graduate Manager working on the Sussex Mainline. During his time at Network Rail, Ameet qualified as a Signaller and as a Deputy Station Manager for London Victoria Station.

Ameet also worked alongside Zac Goldsmith MP for his Mayoral Campaign, leading Zac’s campaign to engage with London’s BME communities in the London 2016 Mayoral Elections. 

Ameet remains committed to serving his borough and has a passion for helping people.
