Keeping Harrow’s roads in a good condition is a key priority for Harrow’s Conservative Council.
Last year we managed to patch over 1,300 potholes in a year where we saw record pressure on our Highways services due to the excessively cold temperatures we experienced in January/February 2023.
Prolonged cold spells with multiple frosts always leads to a sharp increase in potholes as the freezing temperatures causes tarmac to break apart.
While we have had a warmer winter so far this year, the Council is not sitting idle. The Conservative leadership has invested a further £240,000 into the existing pothole and road maintenance budget to allow us to keep local roads in a good condition.
The Council is also trialling new pothole filling machinery which should allow for easier, quicker and more effective patches on your roads.
