Dear resident,
On behalf of my councillors and candidates, I want to say a big thank you to you, the people of Harrow, for the faith you have placed in us.
On Thursday 7 May, Harrow Conservatives secured the biggest mandate in Harrow since 1968. I will work hard to deliver for the residents of Harrow.
We are already beginning the hard work to repay your trust and support.
- We’re resurfacing more roads and footpaths.
- We’re taking the fight to Labour and Reform UK who don’t think our greenbelt and open spaces are worth protecting.
- We’re continuing to crackdown on fly-tipping, ensuring rubbish is removed quickly and that more fines are issued so that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
- And at the next Cabinet meeting we are bringing forward proposals to require any new HMOs to seek planning permission for a change of use. Along with our policies in our newly adopted Local Plan, this will make it much tougher to convert family houses to HMOs.
