Restoring pride in Harrow's parks

As part of Harrow Conservatives’ plans to restore pride in our borough we will be investing £6 million in local parks to help secure prestigious Green Flag accreditation for 9 parks by 2026.

At present, 6 Harrow Parks have received a Green Flag award for their exceptional quality.

In the year ahead we are hoping improvements to the Riverside Park (in Hatch End) and the Chandos Recreation Ground will mean that these parks achieve Green Flag status. This is the first time in a generation that Harrow will increase the number of Green Flag Parks in the borough.

And we are starting improvement works on West Harrow Recreation Ground to achieve Green Flag status next year.

This positive plan to improve Harrow’s parks should have received cross-party support, but sadly local Labour Councillors chose to vote against our extra investment. This included West Harrow’s Labour Councillors, who chose to oppose improvements for West Harrow Recreation Ground.

Despite Harrow Labour’s failure to support local parks, we will continue to upgrade our green spaces for residents to enjoy.
