The Council’s mid-year performance report shows that the Conservative administration is making good progress resurfacing Harrow’s roads.
Since April over 50 roads and footpaths have been resurfaced as well as over 3,000 potholes and other road defects repaired.
This means Harrow’s Conservative Council is on course to achieve its target of 68 roads and 38 footpaths resurfaced by the end of this financial year.
Getting Harrow’s roads to a good standard is a key priority for your Conservative Council. Last year Harrow Council resurfaced 47 roads and fixed over 7,000 potholes. Since coming to power in 2022, Conservative councillors have ensured that over 100 footpaths have been renewed.
This compares to only 851 potholes being repaired in Labour’s last year running Harrow Council.
While there has been good progress, we know that there is still much more to be done. That is why the Council’s Conservative leadership approved a plan back in February which is investing £42 million into upgrading Harrow’s roads and paths over the next three years.
