Over 20% of land within Harrow is either parkland or open space, making us one of the greenest boroughs in London.
Harrow’s Conservative Council wants to protect and enhance our green spaces.
That’s why last year Conservative Councillors passed a motion attacking the government for trying to loosen protections for Green Belt land and open spaces.
It is also why the Council is investing £6 million in our parks to upgrade facilities as well as helping more of our parks to be awarded Green Flag status.
Harrow’s Conservative Council is currently consulting on our draft plans for how we will manage and improve our parks for the next 5 years.
Announcing the draft parks and open spaces plan, Cllr Janet Mote, Cabinet Member for Community & Culture, said:
"Over 20 percent of land in our borough is either a park or an open space, they are one of Harrow’s greatest assets – and we know how much they matter to our residents.
This strategy sets out how we plan to improve and protect these spaces for everyone to enjoy. Your feedback is vital to help us get it right."

The consultation closes on 11.59pm on Monday 14 July 2025.
