A recent independent survey of A roads in Harrow shows a steady improvement in the condition of roads compared to 2021 when Labour ran the Council.
The survey found that 57% of Harrow’s A roads were rated as Green (good) compared to only 49% in 2021.
A roads rated as Amber (fair) had reduced from 28% in 2021 to 21% in 2024 and roads rated as Red (poor) has fallen from 23% in 2021 to 22% in 2024.
While this is good news, as you can see from the figures there is still more to do to fix years of Labour neglect.
In February this year, Harrow Council’s Conservative leadership allocated a record £42 million to be spent on upgrading Harrow’s roads over the next three years.
With our enhanced investment we fully expect the number of A roads rated as green (good) to continue to rise when our highways are surveyed again later this year.
Ensuring that Harrow’s roads are kept in a good condition is a key priority for your Conservative Council.
