In July it was announced that 6 Green Flag parks in Harrow have been reconfirmed as worthy of the prestigious award.

The six parks are: Headstone Manor Recreation Ground, Pinner Memorial Park, Harrow Recreation Ground, Roxeth Recreation Ground, Kenton Recreation Ground and Canons Park

Maintaining and increasing the number of Green Flag parks in Harrow is a flagship action for the Conservative leadership at the Council. Ensuring our parks are maintained to a very high standard is a key part of Harrow Conservatives’ mission to retore pride in our borough.

Welcoming this fantastic news, Cllr Janet Mote, Cabinet Member for Community & Culture, said:

Like our residents I love visiting our parks. All our parks and open spaces are fantastic places to relax, exercise and meet family and friends. They have so much to offer and help improve health and wellbeing within our communities.

I know a lot of work has taken place behind the scenes to retain these 6 Green Flag Awards. I have had the pleasure to meet staff, volunteers and park user groups over the last few months. I’d like to thank everybody involved in achieving this to ensure residents can enjoy using our high-quality parks.
