Harrow Libraries are under threat from Labour. They have already closed four of our ten libraries and could close more. Please sign this petition to help us fight this disastrous policy.
Libraries are community hubs, and a vital resource for a broad spectrum of people; from students doing coursework, to providing IT for those on limited means, or a quiet place for people (particularly the elderly) to read for pleasure. So we’re also worried about the impact these library closures will have on some of our most vulnerable residents. Though the Council is planning transport between the closing libraries and those staying open, this service does not appear to be regular and is only due to last for 3 months – with long-term plans not clear.”
